Spotify Wrapped saw its biggest launch yet just the other week.

The yearly recap, released on Dec 3, hit just over 250 million active listeners in just 65 hours—faster than the seven days it had taken in 2022. Over this stretch, people posted Wrapped updates 575 million times; on Instagram, those shares almost doubled from the prior year.

One standout update was “listening age,” guessing a user’s age from their annual listening habits; it sparked over 65 million shares. In addition, in-app messages rose up 100%, the greatest jump since the release earlier this year.

Wrapped 2025 launched as a refreshed version, updating known favorite tracks and styles. Alongside, it introduced the “Listening Archive”—a tool showing key moments from your listening history. Also added was “Wrapped Party,” an engaging function allowing users to share music tastes while joining fun group tasks with peers.

Alongside the Wrapped release, Spotify unveiled its annual top-artist list. Leading the charts was Bad Bunny—surpassing Taylor Swift. The Weeknd followed closely, then Drake entered the ranks. Billie Eilish made strong gains; Kendrick Lamar held steady. Bruno Mars stayed relevant through constant plays, while Ariana Grande maintained her fan base. Arijit Singh rose again this year, and Fuerza Regida completed the group.

Bad Bunny topped worldwide streams with his album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga teamed up with Bruno Mars on “Die with a Smile,” claiming the year’s biggest global single. Over in the U.S., Taylor Swift led streaming numbers across platforms; conversely, Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther,” featuring vocals from SZA, took the national crown for songs.

Spotify wrapped brings listeners together for another year and it serves as a way to connect with one another year after year.
