Movie Night

Snuggling up in a comfy chair on a cold October day, watching Monsters Movie PosterUniversity in your pajamas sounds like a pretty fun thing to do. On Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. you can do just that.

Teacher Chase Mielke and students Jacob Brinkman ‘14, Shelby hirdning ‘14, Keith King ‘15, and Mercedes Porter ‘14 all made this possible in their Interpersonal Communications class. It took them about a month to come up with this idea.

“Their assignment was to figure out a project that would impact the world positively,” Mielke said.

This free event will take place at  Plainwell High School, 684 Starr Rd., in the old auditorium on the big screen.  Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Eight Keys of Excellence

Character is a trait every human has. The Eight Keys of Excellence helps us with working to improve our character. Teacher Chase Mielke gave a presentation to students a couple weeks ago to teach them about the eight keys and how they can use them.

“Elementary school children would go home and tell their parents about the eight keys and it left the parents wondering and asking questions,”  said Mielke, a trainer for Quantum Learning Network.

So in resolution of this conflict, school administrators decided to have a community night to show parents and the community what the children are learning. The event will take place Nov. 6 in the Performing Arts Cente
