Throughout the years stories have been told about seniors throwing freshman into lockers and giving them swirlies. In all reality that doesn’t happen all that often; the upperclassmen are here to give them advice on what to do for the next three years of high school.

“Try not to make enemies your freshman year,” says Hannah Holmes ‘16 ”you’ll have to deal with them for the rest of high school.”

There will be a lot of ups and downs in your high school career, the different classes that you don’t want to take, the technical drama you’ll have with your iPads and so on. But enjoy it, this is the time to be care free and live life. In the words of Principal Wright (also vice principal Mrs. Burley), “ Work hard, have fun, and do the Wright thing.”

Trending on twitter is #freshmanproblems. @ComedyOrTruth writes “ #FreshmanAdvice First one to get pregnant wins.” Another fellow tweeter ‘@shayneTRaw’ tweets “#FreshmanAdvice don’t waste your high school career drinking and smoking. It’ll always be there, your education won’t.”

Upperclassmen want to take this opportunity to give the new freshman some #FreshmanAdvice.

“Know your place; when upperclassmen tell you what to do, you listen to them. Also be nice, it gets you a long way.” says Hannah Nicholas ‘14.

Many freshman come into high school not knowing what side of the hallway to walk on, and to clarify it is the right side.  Monica Pavlack ‘14 said strictly, “Stay on the right side of the hallway.”
