By participating in The Trojan Table podcast, I understand and agree to the following:

1. Purpose & Representation

The Trojan Table is a student-led media project affiliated with Plainwell High School.
I understand that my participation represents myself, my school, and my community.
I agree to act respectfully, responsibly, and appropriately during all recordings.

2. Content Expectations

I agree to use school-appropriate language.
I will not use profanity, slurs, or language that is discriminatory, threatening, or harmful.
I will not promote illegal activity, substance use, or unsafe behavior.
I understand that sensitive or personal topics may be redirected or edited for appropriateness.

3. Respect & Conduct

I agree to respect all participants, including hosts, guests, and staff.
I will not interrupt, mock, or intentionally derail the conversation.
I understand this is a conversation, not a platform to target or embarrass others.

4. Participation & Selection

I understand that submitting this form does not guarantee participation or appearance in a podcast episode.
Participation is based on scheduling, topic fit, readiness, and overall program needs.
Students may be invited to participate at a later time or in a different role (guest, production, planning, etc.).

5. Recording & Editing

I understand that podcast episodes are recorded and edited.
I acknowledge that:
Not all recorded content may be published.
Portions may be edited for clarity, length, quality, or appropriateness.
Editorial decisions are made to support student growth, school values, and audience appropriateness.

6. Publishing & Administrative Oversight

I understand that school administration has final authority over publishing and promotion of all podcast content.
Administration may approve, delay, limit distribution, or choose not to publish an episode or segment.
These decisions are made to ensure alignment with school policies, student well-being, and community standards.

7. Media Release & Distribution

I grant permission for my voice, image, name, and likeness to be used in:
Podcast episodes
School websites
School social media
Promotional materials related to The Trojan Table
I understand episodes may be shared publicly and accessed beyond the school community.

8. Voluntary Participation

My participation is voluntary.
I may choose not to answer a question during recording.
I understand I may request to pause or stop recording at any time.

9. Privacy & Responsibility

I understand that once content is published, it may be shared or reposted by others.
I agree to think carefully about what I share and take responsibility for my statements.
I will not share private or confidential information about others.

10. School Policy Alignment

I agree to follow all Plainwell High School and Plainwell Community Schools policies, including those related to student conduct and media use.
Violations may result in removal from an episode or future participation.

11. Acknowledgment

By agreeing, I confirm that:
I have read and understand these terms.
I agree to follow them fully.
I understand participation is a privilege, not a requirement.
